Reasons for naming surahs of Quran Sharif

(12) Surah Yusuf :

This Mubarak Surat is called Surah Yusuf because in this Surat the circumstances and reports of Hazrat Yusuf عليه السلام's life have been told. Apart from that, in no other surah is there a detailed description of you. Rather, your name Mubarak has not appeared in any surat except “Soor E Anaam” and “Soor E Momin”.

(13) Surah Ra'ad :

The word "Ra'ad" means "thunderbolt" and "thunder". Of this surah, verse no. In 13, the word "Ra'ad" is used. Among all the Meccan Surahs, this surah is the only Meccan Surah in which "Ra'ad" is described. Due to this relationship, this surat is named "Sur e Ra'ad" and this relationship is enough to keep the name.

(14) Surah Ibrahim :

This surah is named "Surah Ibrahim" because Hazrat Ibrahim عليه السلام is described in this surah. Only this nisbat is enough to have a name. And it is not necessary that wherever it is nisbat, there is this name.

(15) Surah Hebrew :

The name of this Surah is "Al-Hijr". Because "Al Hizr" is described in verse 80 of this Surah. "Hijr" means "stopping". Intelligence is also called "Hijr". Because it restrains man from wrong and bad deeds. A building made of stones is also called "Hijr".
Koume Samud populations were built by cutting and carving stones. Hence it was called "Al-Hijr".
In Quran Sharif “Surah Hijr” verse no. In 5 the word "hijr" is used in the sense of "intelligence".
And "Soor e Anam" verse no. 138 and in verse 53 of Surah Furqan, the word "Hijr" is used in the sense of "forbidden".
The name of Qaum E Samud Basti or their hometown is "Al-Hijr". This place was in “Wadiyon-Qura” between Madinah and Sham.
These people used to dig the mountains and build houses inside the mountains. There was that well in
the same mountain, from which Hazrat Saleh عليه السلام's camel would drink water on one day and his people would drink water on the second day.
“Surah Ibrahim” ends with the narration of the Quran Sharif and "Surah Hijr" begins with the narration of the Quran Majeed.

(16) Surah Nahal :

The name of this surah is “An-Nahl”. “Nahl” means “the bee”, verse number of this surah. In 68, the word "Nahl" has appeared. That's why this surah is named "Surah Nahal".
Allah Ta'ala says, Your Lord taught the bee to make mountains and trees and tall buildings its home! Then consume (suck the juice) of each fruit. Then walk firmly on the path shown by your Lord. A colored drink (honey) comes out of his stomach, which is healing people. Surely this is a sign for those who meditate. (Surah Nahal, Ayat-68,69)
Allah's Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "Whoever recites Surah Nahal" will not be counted for the blessings that were given to him in this world. And he will be rewarded like a person who gave good advice at the time of his death.

(Tafseer Ashrafi, Para-14, Surah Nahal)
